WHOWOULDATHUNKIT

bare bones
stripped down
transparent
and simple
without a fuss
or smudged up
or with layers
upon layer
of distracted and jarring
spins and directions
or odd assortments
and unpredictable
unreliable
unbeknownstingly contradictory
and irrelevant
skippy-dips
from second-to-seond
minute-to-minute
hour-to-hour
all those other intervals
that we do
never with any idea
and always with some surprising
and whowouldathunkit
outcome.

  1. Know how a poem turns and embeds itself in you now and then? This one did that with the word “unbeknownstingly”, and then the skippy-dip part… hooked me.

I think there might be a spelling error in the second second.
