YESTERDAYS

these are the old days
the good times
yeh that’s what they are
the times you remember
and never forget
the ones you look back on
with little regret

these are your yesterdays
the younger days
that you’re pining for
the past that you carry
that keeps you awake
at night up and pacing
with every mistake

the bygones
your memories
you make them today
these days are your yesterdays
they’re slipping away.

  1. Daughter Val called last evening asking whether I would be too disappointed not to be taken to Taos.  Sometime, tho, ‘before I die’, I do want to share with her, (&, hopefully, thus the rest of my family), my Jr Hi memories of living in New Mexico – They were Very ‘Good Times’!!

      • Same here. Lots of changes, positive changes, but also some changes of great impact. Which in turn need some forging to squeeze some positivity out of it. πŸ™‚

It’s great you’ve been updating your blog. Gives me something great to read.

        See you around!

  3. Some of my yesterdays were good; some were too horrible. Now is enough for me; its all we have.

I do know that I don’t want my todays to become yesterdays I regret; they’re too precious now. They always were precious, of course, but I didn’t always realise it. πŸ™‚

  4. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me. Whatever came before made me who I am and I’m content. If I went back, I might change something I don’t want to.
