Misty morning
Lots of rain
People waiting
For the train

On the platform
On their toes
Going somewhere
Goodness knows

Or from somewhere
Going home
Might be Brooklyn
Could be Rome

Here to there or
Gone for good
Makes me wonder
And it should.

    • I like that – pithy is a very good way to describe it. 🙂
I love the people watching element coming to life and feeling really worthwhile, reflective. Reminds me of a good Hawksley Workman track, love the lyrics: “I used to sit on the subway early in the morning, with people nodding and falling asleep. I realised I’d never understand the complexities of all the stories intertwined.”
      Nice work, Pete. 🙂

      • Yeh a lot going on we’d just never know. I like people watching generally, so standing on a train platform is not the most boring thing for me 🙂 Appreciate you reading and hope you are well Katy.

      • I am well thanks, Pete. Have fallen behind with my blogging again, hence the patchy comments! I know I’ve said it before but you really impressive with your consistently great writing. Do you make it your mission to ensure you write and publish daily or does it just work out that way for you? I love it anyway! 🙂

I love people watching as well, I’m a total voyeur (oo-er!) and it drives my man mental!

      • I’m quite behind myself actually. On commenting on everyone I mean, I’m still trying to post daily, but I’m getting hardly any visits. I try and write every day but the last couple of weeks have been without internet access. I will have full time internet access again this week. Seems to be the only way I can really write is when I’m online haha I have written “manually” on paper a bit, and it’s not bad. But I don’t like it much 🙂

      • It is so annoying when you’re without internet… it’s horrible when you start to realise how much of your daily life depends on it!

It’s also strange when the stats fluctuate, I start to question exactly what it is (and why!) that works for some readers…

I’m still reading ya, Pete, just slowly. 🙂 I look forward to your updates. 🙂 It’s funny, with my blogging I am probably doing far less imaginative writing that normal. I need to find a balance. But, I guess the more often you write, the more likely you are to find inspiration…

      • Thanks. 🙂 I put up my next ‘Talk Over Tea’ story. I should maybe write something else… I’ll get my thinking cap on. 🙂
